The Explorer™
The Explorer™ is a powerful, multi-purpose analysis tool that can perform in-depth
"explorations" on up to 12,000 securities at one time. It can compare, rank, sort, and filter
securities; list multiple indicator values for multiple
securities; show securities with current buy and sell signals; and search for any technical
criteria set by a trader. Results can be saved to lists for easy future reference.
The Expert Advisor™
MetaStock Pro's Expert
Advisor™ works as both a basic teaching tool and a powerful means of automating a trading system,
no matter how advanced. Pre-built advisories let the
beginning trader get up to speed with the help of the most recognized
experts in the industry, including Martin Pring, John Bollinger, Gil Raff, and Greg Morris.
These expert advisories include buy and sell signals, alerts, written commentary, and some even
include video instruction. Users can also create their own advisories to automate systems of
signals, alerts, and more.
Enhanced System Tester™
The Enhanced System Tester™ lets
users create and back-test trading systems. The user sets entry and exit conditions, commission
amounts, and other important details. Then the System Tester tests the criteria on a real security
to see how much
money would have been made or lost using that system during a set period of time. The System
Tester can also optimize each system to find the parameters that work best for an individual
security and compare multiple systems to show which is most profitable. These tools allow traders
to optimize
their chances of making profits in the markets—without risking a cent of real money.
The DownLoader™
MetaStock Pro comes with a free full version of The DownLoader™ for traders who want to
maintain larger lists of securities or more historical data than can be obtained through
DataOnDemand. The DownLoader is a powerful, versatile data collection program that uses the
Internet or a modem to
automatically collect price updates. It also tests the data for accuracy, checking for data
errors, adjusting for stock splits, reinvesting mutual fund dividends, and even updating

OptionScope™
OptionScope™, a fully interactive options worksheet designed for options trading, is

risk/reward opportunities. Option strategies can also be plotted in an easy-to-read graph,

MetaStock Professional 9.0 for eSignal or QCharts is the only real-time charting and
analysis program that gives users nine different charting styles to choose from: Bars,

Line Break.
MetaStock Pro also allows over 65,000 data points per chart. This is
crucial for traders looking at tick-by-tick charts, watching every move their securities

Easy-Access Layouts, Templates, and More
MetaStock's layouts and templates have always made it quicker and easier for traders
to apply their ideas to the securities they think have the best profit potential. Now, with
MetaStock Pro's ustomize Toolbar, users can perform their analyses more quickly and efficiently

Refresh Button
Gaps in data that throw off traders' computerized analyses are now a thing of the
past, thanks to MetaStock Pro's Refresh button. This button activates DataOnDemand™ to
retrieve historical data from eSignal and fills in gaps caused by freeze-up, power outage,
or loss of Internet service. Seven to ten years of daily, weekly, and monthly data are
available from the Historic Server, and up to five days of data in all periodicities are
available from the Tick Server. Unlike other technical analysis programs which do not work
with both of these eSignal servers, MetaStock Pro can make every chart complete, every time,
for more accurate analysis.
DataOnDemand™
DataOnDemand™ allows traders to get
real-time and historical data from Data Broadcasting Corporation's eSignal directly,
without permanently storing data on a local drive—and without tedious data maintenance
chores. Traders no longer need to go through the cumbersome process of adding securities
and downloading data. Analyzing a new security is as fast and simple as typing a symbol
and seeing a chart. DataOnDemand™ makes the high-end charting in MetaStock Professional
as easy to access as the basic charting of Internet chart applications such as MetaStock
Online.
Pager and E-mail Alerts
MetaStock Pro's Expert Advisor has the capability to automate pager and e- mail
alerts. MetaStock can send these alerts to any capable receiving device—no expensive add-
ons required.
MetaStock Professional 9.0 introduces the ability to run multiple
explorations from one setup. Users can run different explorations in succession to funnel
a group down to the closest-matching securities, run different explorations simultaneously
